Science Communication Officer position

The Physics of Information Group, at Instituto de Telecomunicacoes (in Lisbon, Portugal), is seeking to hire a Science Communication Officer.

The hired person will be expected to lead the communication of the scientific results obtained within the context of the Group's international projects, as well as of the projects of the 40 doctoral students (currently 17) of the Doctoral Programme in the Physics and Mathematics of Information: Foundations of Future Information Technologies (2014-2021).

The ideal sought profile is someone with experience in science communication, but this experience is not a requirement and training can be provided. The candidates are expected to have a doctoral degree. The position is expected to start in early 2016 and last for at least three years.

Applications should be submitted by 15 November 2015, but earlier applications are welcome.

The application is constituted by the following documents:

1. curriculum vitae of the applicant (including a copy of the academic certificates/diplomas);
2. motivation letter;
3. two letters of recommendation (in alternative, the contact information of two persons able to provide references is also accepted).
